Successful WordCamps require both attendees, sponsors, volunteers and organisers. But what would WordCamps be without speakers?

WordCamps provides an excellent opportunity for you to share your knowledge about anything and everything WordPress. If you’ve ever thought about speaking at an event, then now is a unique opportunity to do so in front of an attentive audience that is eager to hear what you have to say!

What is a WordCamp?

WordCamp Jakarta is an event that brings the WordPress community together. We have bloggers, developers, designers, artists, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and educators coming from all over Indonesia, with many attendees travel internationally to attend. At previous events, we’ve had speakers and attendees from Asia, Australia, Europe, UK, USA and Canada.

If there’s one thing we know for sure, is that WordCamp Jakarta will be bringing the community together from all parts of the world. We want you to be part of it!

What we are looking for:

It doesn’t matter if this will be your first public speaking experience or if you’re a veteran speaker. WordCamp Jakarta is open to anyone who has a passion for sharing their knowledge.

Important Date:

  1. Submission will be closed on January 5th, 2019
  2. You will hear about the approval of your talk by January 10th, 2019
  3. Speakers will be announced in batch starting on January 15th, 2019

General guidelines for your talk:

  • Talks can be in English or Indonesian
  • Directly related to WordPress or to WordPress users
  • Respectful of the community, the WordCamp code of conduct, and the GPL
  • Something that you are passionate about and confident in sharing

Event Details

  • Your session should be 30 minutes in length, comprised of a 20-minute presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A
  • You will need to submit your presentation by February 5th, 2019
  • You will need to be ready at the venue by 8 am on Saturday, February 16th, 2019
  • As all sessions will be recorded you will be asked to sign a waiver before giving your talk
  • Speakers will be provided complimentary tickets to WordCamp Jakarta, but will not receive any additional compensation
